Which is the best cornmeal: Stone Ground, Water Ground or Steel Ground?
Stone Ground and Water Ground are the same thing!
“Back in the Day” water was used to provide power to the mill wheels that turn the stones that grind the corn kernals. Stone/Water ground corn retains some of the hull and germ of the corn making it more nutritious than Steel Ground which removes the hull and germ almost completely.
There are holes in the bag, is that normal?
Every product that is packed in plastic has one or two small holes pierced in the bag so that the product can breathe and the bag does not “pop” like a balloon when it is shipped. This is perfectly normal and is not indicative of bugs or any other problem with the product.

If you have received an order from STF and during unpacking you noticed a carrier bag from a grocery store this is simply our way of helping the environment. We use recycled plastic bags, cardboard, brown paper bags etc to pack out the shipping boxes so that your product arrives in first class condition.
